Batos
Batos is a large man—imposing, really, at least a foot taller than Lawrence. He's got brown hair and eyes, built solidly muscular, with a bit of stubble usually on his face. His sheer size is what most people notice first.
Despite his intimidating appearance, he's actually quite gentle and polite. The problem is his reputation. He runs with the alchemists in Kumersun, and they're not exactly popular around town, so some of that stigma rubs off on him whether it's fair or not.
He shares a real passion for old stories and legends with his friend Dian Rubsen—the kind of thing that clearly fascinates both of them. Before settling down in Kumersun, Batos spent years traveling around. He eventually decided to stick around there, which is where he is now.
