Shizuka is Katsuya Jonouchi's younger sister. She's best known as the motivation behind her brother's involvement in the Duel Monsters tournament—Jonouchi enters the competition specifically to win prize money for her eye surgery. In both the manga and anime, this goal drives much of his early character arc. Shizuka admires Mai Kujaku and looks up to her as a role model.
