Toramaru is an elementary school student and genuinely the best soccer player in his district. He's too young to compete in the Football Frontier professionally, but Coach Hibiki recruits him anyway to play for Japan's national team, Inazuma Japan.
During the day, he works part-time at his mother's restaurant—she's often sick—making deliveries that eat up most of his practice time. When he gets picked to represent Japan at the Football Frontier International, he becomes a solid contributor to Endou's squad. He idolizes Gouenji and later Tobitaka.
His signature moves include Tiger Drive, Tiger Storm (which he can pull off with Gouenji), Gladius Arch, RC Shoot, and Grand Fire (a three-way combo with Gouenji and Hiroto).
