Isamu Taki is Tooru's older brother and basically the polar opposite of both her and their grandfather. While they're believers in the supernatural and all that stuff, Isamu's a hardcore skeptic who flat-out refuses to accept that youkai, superstitions, or legends are real. He's the rational one of the family, which puts him at odds with pretty much everyone else in the household.
