Sister Azariya runs the church in Rulid Village and teaches Sacred Arts to the local kids—most notably Alice and Selka Zuberg. She's also got a heart for the community; the church serves as an orphanage under her care. When Kirito showed up in the Underworld with nowhere to go, she took him in without hesitation, giving him a place to stay and making sure he had clothes and food. She's basically the village's backbone in a lot of ways.
