Togano's the quietest of his friend group, best known for his long spiky blonde hair and the orange-tinted sunglasses he never takes off. You'll usually find him with his nose in a manga—he's genuinely passionate about Jump, though he grumbles about switching to American comics when he visits the States. Despite his laid-back vibe and tendency to just go along with whatever Juumonji and Kuroki are doing, he's arguably the most artistically talented player on the team outside of Hiruma. His drawing style leans toward the muscular, exaggerated aesthetic you see in stuff like Fist of the North Star.
There's this omake where a reader asks him to draw his ideal manga character. The result is basically a mash-up of Jump's greatest hits—stretchy limbs, nen powers, elite basketball or tennis skills, the whole ninjutsu package. The character's named Shozo and recently became a football lineman, which fans often note is basically Togano's fantasy self.
In the anime, he casually admits that cheerleaders like Suzuna are his type. While his teammates find her early attempts to stalk Eyeshield kind of annoying, Togano's actually charmed by her bluntness. That subplot gets dropped pretty quickly though, and later hints suggest there's something more bashful and genuine brewing between Suzuna and Sena anyway.
