Kanna
Kanna—formally known as Kannabi no Mikoto, the "-bi no mikoto" suffix marking her as one of the winged beings—is one of the last of her kind. Born into isolation, she was kept away from ordinary people throughout her childhood, a precaution rooted in fear. Her species possessed tremendous power, and rather than risk that strength, people chose to deify her instead. It's a strange existence: revered from a distance, confined by the very worship meant to honor her.
