Yukine started out as a wandering spirit until Yato found him and turned him into a Shinki. His weapon form is a katana, which he goes by the name Sekki.
He's pretty vocal about his disgust toward Yato, especially when it comes to how sweaty his hands get. This is actually where Yukine's famous nickname for him comes from—he calls Yato "Drippy" because of it.
