A teenage artist who spends her summers in a small one-room cabin tucked away in the woods outside Koriko. She's basically the older sister figure in Kiki's life, and she's got strong opinions about how gifts work—whether that's painting, witchcraft, or baking bread. When Kiki loses her flying ability partway through the story, Ursula frames it the way any artist would understand: as a creative block, something temporary that happens when you're stuck. Her whole philosophy is that you've got to actually use your gifts, not sit around rejecting them or waiting for inspiration to strike.
