Ibuki is a Maasai lion in his mid-thirties who first shows up as an antagonist during the Meteor Festival arc, then sticks around as a recurring character later in the Murder Incident Solution arc.
His backstory is pretty rough—he was sold as hyperdrug material when he was just 12 years old. He managed to escape and spent years surviving alone in the Black Market until he was 18, when he finally joined the Shishigumi. Once he was part of the organization, Ibuki genuinely wanted to build real bonds with his crew and their leadership. He wasn't gunning for power or status; his actual goal was to turn the group into something more like a family. That vision never really took off under the first boss, though, whose command forced Ibuki to give off this intimidating, oppressive vibe that made herbivores instinctively fear him—basically the opposite of what he was actually going for.
