Kanata Age is a young instructor at Mistgun, the floating wizard academy city. He's actually in his second year of regular courses, which makes his teaching role pretty unusual for someone his age.
He's best known for being the former "Black Master Swordsman"—the star of the elite S128 special team—though that reputation took a massive hit when he was branded a traitor. Now he's been assigned to whip E601 into shape, a team that's somehow managed to lose ten matches straight. It's basically a last-chance gig for everyone involved.
Kanata's got a sharp tactical mind and figures out weaknesses fast, whether he's analyzing his own students or sizing up opponents. That analytical edge is probably his biggest asset as an instructor.
