That's where wizards come in—aerial combat mages who use magic to fight these things off. Kanata Age is a young wizard living in Misutogan, a floating academy city. He used to be a big deal as the "Black Master Swordsman," the top pilot of the elite S128 special team. But something happened, and now he's known as a traitor. As punishment or whatever, he gets stuck teaching E601—a team that's lost ten matches in a row. The team's made up of three girls: Misora Whitale, Lecty Eisenach, and Rico Flamel. They're decent fighters, just. a little weird.
