Kurojou works as part of the Oniwabanshuu, a covert ninja group, though his day-to-day life is pretty grounded. He's the head chef at the Aoi-Ya, where he handles Japanese cooking duties, does repairs around the place, and basically keeps things running alongside Okina. He also looks after Misao. In combat, he's known for fighting with a massive bo staff and weighted bracers that he can throw as projectiles.
