Tobitaka is a tough street kid from Raimon Town who runs with a gang and spends most of his time throwing punches. What actually sets him apart, though, is his devastating kick—something Hibiki notices when he stumbles across Tobitaka mid-brawl in the woods. Rather than write him off, Hibiki sees potential and starts coaching him in soccer on the down-low. It's a turning point. Eventually Tobitaka lands a spot on Inazuma Japan's national team, where he steadily gets better at the sport and ends up becoming something of a mentor figure to younger players like Toramaru.
You'll never catch him without his hair-comb—it's basically glued to his head at this point. His signature move is Shinkuuma, which he later powers up into Shinkuuma V2.
