William Orwell is best known for being the most physically fit member of his group and for his unusual position within God's Right Seat as someone who actually respects papal authority and refuses to engage in the corruption that defines his peers.
He started out as a mercenary working for the Anglican church before converting to Catholicism and joining God's Right Seat. Unlike typical sorcerers, he can't cast normal spells, but he's compensated by being blessed with an exceptional ability: "Divine Mother's Mercy." This spell is basically his workaround for everything—it nullifies the restrictions that would normally prevent someone from casting powerful magic under difficult conditions, and it also removes the body's natural limiters so he can access his full potential as a saint.
Speaking of saint-level abilities, Orwell has superhuman strength and endurance that let him wield weapons twice his own size without breaking a sweat. With "Divine Mother's Mercy" removing those physical caps, he can operate at 100% capacity without any of the usual drawbacks that would slow him down.
