Vice-Admiral Doberman is one of the five Vice Admirals who led the Buster Call on Enies Lobby. He's instantly recognizable by the X-shaped scars covering his face and neck—a pretty distinctive look even by Marine standards. His left eye is notably blank without an iris, and depending on which version you're looking at, it either appears completely missing or just heavily scarred. He rocks the standard Marine coat in red with a zig-zag striped cap.
The anime actually handled his appearance differently than the manga. Early on, they covered his left eye with the cap's shadow, but later episodes just gave him two normal eyes instead. The manga is less forgiving about it—makes him look genuinely rough around the edges.
