Tetsuya was Seidou's captain and their first baseman, leading primarily through his play on the field rather than big speeches. He's the quiet type—not one for motivational grandstanding—but his actual performance spoke volumes.
Opposing teams straight-up feared him. They called him a "monster" because he could hit basically any ace's signature pitch, which completely threw off their rhythm. He was especially dangerous against curve balls, crushing them in ways that made fielders nervous.
Off the field, he and Miyuki would play shogi together during downtime, though Miyuki was apparently much better at it. Tetsuya wasn't one to let that stop him from playing anyway.
