Typhlosion is a bulky, long-bodied mammalian Pokémon that normally walks on four legs but can rear up on its hind legs when needed. Its body is mostly cream-colored with a dark teal back and head, a short rounded snout, and small triangular eyes and ears. When it opens its mouth, you can see sharp canine teeth and a thick tongue. Its paws have five digits each, and it's got a coarse, spiky fringe of fur running along its rear.
The red spots across the back of its neck are what make Typhlosion dangerous—these are where it produces fire. It can ignite anything when angry and create explosions just by rubbing its fur together. When it's ready for battle, the heat it generates creates a shimmering haze that doubles as camouflage. If it gets fully enraged, anything it touches bursts into flames instantly. While rare in the wild, Typhlosion inhabits grasslands. According to Pokémon Sleep data, it's a restless sleeper that tosses and turns—and it can accidentally shoot fire blasts from its back while dozing, so approaching a sleeping one is a bad idea.
Regional Variant: Hisuian Typhlosion
The Hisuian form supposedly developed under the influence of Mount Coronet's energy in the Hisui region. Its ears droop down the sides of its head, and its back fur is purplish-blue, extending forward to form a collar pattern around its neck. Fire-producing spots cover this collar, releasing bright magenta flames.
This regional version has graceful, refined movements and a way calmer disposition than its Johto counterpart. It's often found staring off into space, apparently watching the flow of life energy and seeking out wayward spirits to consume. Hisuian Typhlosion is believed to purify spirits with its flames before guiding them to the afterlife where they belong. That said, it can still snap if pushed hard enough—when it does, it unleashes ghost flames capable of incinerating opponents completely. It can fire up to 108 ghost flames from its neck spots, and each one takes on the shape of a ferocious beast as it attacks.

Typhlosion is the final evolution in its line.
