Vasilisa runs Annihilatus and is technically Sasha's boss, though "boss" might be generous given how much Sasha can't stand her. Named after a figure from Russian folklore, Vasilisa annoys Sasha with her childish personality, obsessive skincare routines, and borderline creepy fascination with Japanese otaku culture—a hobby she keeps trying and failing to drag Sasha into.
Despite the friction, Vasilisa's actually competent. She's tough enough to shrug off one of Sasha's full-force swings (the weapon destroyed a table), even when Sasha was furious about being forced into "Magical Powered Kanamin" cosplay. When the upper ranks of the Russian Orthodox Church ordered her to hand Sasha over to Fiamma, Vasilisa didn't hesitate—she turned her back on the entire Church to stay with "her" Sasha.
Turns out there's a reason she's that committed. In Volume 22, it's revealed that Vasilisa is actually an immortal witch who supposedly sacrificed her own mother and sister for power. In the folklore, she's the kind of witch who eats humans, and meeting her traditionally means you either run or die. She has access to two legendary waters: the Water of Death, which dissolves flesh until only bone remains, and the Water of Life, which grants immortality.
She's also the strongest spellcaster in the Russian Orthodox Church by a significant margin. After defecting to Fiamma's side, she took down every assassin the Church sent after her without taking a scratch. She even beat Bishop Nikolai, who tried using the Water of Death against her—mirroring an old folklore tale where the witch falls into the spring itself. Except Vasilisa had the Water of Life. She drank it, healed instantly, and that was basically that.
