Synopsis

Twenty years have passed since the original Kindaichi Case Files, and things have changed. Hajime's no longer the brilliant kid detective—he's just another burnt-out office worker grinding through life. He's done with solving murders. All he wants is to keep his head down and make it through each day without incident. Of course, that's not how life works. Whether he likes it or not, Kindaichi keeps stumbling into crime scenes. The series kicks off when he's pulled back to Uta Island for yet another Opera House Murder case, this time involving a Phantom of the Opera who's hell-bent on revenge.
