MazinSaga is Go Nagai's manga series that originally ran from 1990 to 1998 and has since resumed publication. It's basically the culmination of everything Nagai had done—the most complex plot he'd written, dealing with some seriously heavy themes. The story follows Koji Kabuto, a university student who inherits his late father's life work. His dad was a renowned physicist who died under mysterious circumstances, and Koji gets stuck picking up where he left off. As part of that inheritance, he gains access to an incredibly powerful artifact called Mazinger Z—basically a suit of armor with god-like power.
