Synopsis

In ancient Southeast Asia, people struggle against drought, famine, and endless conflict—all made worse by a brutal caste system that keeps them trapped. When a young prince named Siddhartha is born, his arrival sets in motion a series of interconnected stories. He embarks on a spiritual quest that eventually transforms him into Buddha, the Enlightened One. His mission becomes nothing less than awakening the spiritual life of a suffering people desperate for change.
