The fallout was brutal enough that he got expelled and transferred to Shujin Academy in Shibuya. Everyone around him makes it clear he should keep his head down and just get through the year without causing trouble. Then things get weird. Almost immediately, Akira notices a strange app on his phone that he definitely didn't download. A couple days later, he runs into Ryuuji Sakamoto, Shujin's biggest delinquent, while caught in the rain on the way to school. The app activates on its own, and suddenly both of them get pulled into some kind of twisted otherworld crawling with demonic creatures. Cornered and desperate, something inside Akira awakens—a Persona, basically a manifestation of his own will and personality that lets him fight back. Now the two of them have to figure out what this place is and why they were dragged into it.
