Synopsis

This manga follows death cleaners as they go about their work removing the remnants of people's deaths. It's as much about finding meaning in life and death as it is about the job itself. Through conversations between the cleaners and the families and friends left behind, the story explores what death really means. Whether someone dies peacefully of old age, gets murdered, takes their own life, or succumbs to illness—death is unpredictable and unavoidable. The series ultimately argues that this uncertainty is exactly why we need to make the most of the time we have.
