Synopsis

Kirie Goshima lives an ordinary life in the small town of Kurouzu-cho until one day she spots her boyfriend Shuuichi's father fixated on a snail shell in an alley. When she brings it up to Shuuichi, he mentions his dad's been acting strange recently and confesses his own growing unease—he's convinced something's wrong with the town itself, something twisted and spiral-shaped that's infecting everything. His father's obsession quickly turns deadly, and from there things spiral out of control. A series of bizarre and horrifying events grips the town as its residents descend into madness, all seemingly connected to this strange spiral fixation.
