Synopsis

Wakana Gojou is a quiet first-year high schooler stuck making traditional dolls with his family—and he's got no friends. A bad experience with a childhood friend who mocked his hobby left him unable to connect with anyone his age, so he just keeps to himself. He's really good at sewing doll clothes, though he still struggles with painting their faces. That skill catches the attention of Marin Kitagawa, a gorgeous classmate whose confidence and straightforward personality both impress and intimidate him. She decides to tell him about her hobby: she loves cosplaying as characters from adult video games. The problem is, Marin can't actually make her own costumes—so she asks Wakana for help. As he gets pulled into her cosplay projects, something shifts. She becomes his first real friend, someone who genuinely accepts him. Despite being complete opposites, they start developing a real connection through working together on increasingly elaborate cosplay builds.
