Synopsis

When Yuuichirou Amane's parents die, he ends up at the Hyakuya Orphanage. He never really fits in with the other kids—until things get way worse. A sudden plague wipes out everyone over 13, and vampires, who'd been hiding underground the whole time, take advantage of the chaos. They round up the survivors and start using them as blood farms. Four years pass. Yuuichirou and the other orphans have gotten used to vampire rule, but he's obsessed with wiping them all out. His friend Mikaela, another orphan, thinks that's a stupid plan and wants to be smarter about survival instead. When Mikaela manages to gain the trust of some high-ranking vampires, he uses what he learns to organize an escape. It almost works—until the vampire officer Ferid Bathory shows up and slaughters most of them. Only Yuuichirou makes it out to the surface. That's where he runs into the Moon Demon Company, a military group that hunts vampires. They're impressed enough to recruit him on the spot. Finally, Yuuichirou has a real chance to get his revenge and take down the vampires for good.
