Demetrios is a shy, gentle vase painter in Ancient Greece who can't stand sports or competition. When the mayor of a neighboring town threatens his village, Demetrios is forced to create a game to compete against him. While hiding in a large vase outside his workshop, lightning strikes and zaps him through time and space—he ends up in Tokyo during the 1964 Summer Olympics.
