Abareru-kun is a Japanese comedian, voice actor, and TV personality managed by Watanabe Entertainment. He's probably best known to anime and gaming fans as a host on Pokénchi, where he's become a fixture in Pokémon media.

On Pokémon Get TV, he ran the "Pokémon Zukan Completion Journey" segment, which was exactly what it sounds like—he traveled around Japan trying to complete the Central Kalos Pokédex in Pocket Monsters Y, but with a twist: he could only catch or obtain Pokémon by trading with regular people he met along the way. It's the kind of gimmick that works surprisingly well as TV.
