He started out posting tracks online under the name "DJ Newtown," uploading to places like 2channel and YouTube before most people were doing that. After putting out some releases on Maltine Records, a netlabel that became known for experimental Japanese electronic music, he signed with Warner Music Japan's Unborde label in 2013, which marked a shift toward a more official presence in the industry.
