Tsuji Shion's been writing poetry and lyrics since childhood, but she didn't start actually composing music until she picked up a guitar at 15. Around that same time, she dropped out of high school to move to Tokyo and chase her dream of becoming a singer—no messing around. In fall 2007, she self-produced music for a small commemorative event with about 200 people. Her performance caught Sony Music's attention, which led to a deal with DefSTAR Records in 2008. Her debut single "Candy kicks" came out that same year.
