Japanese shoujo manga artist who got her start as an assistant to Masashi Asaki, known for Psychometrer Eiji. She debuted in January 2001 with Soul Rescue in Hana to Yume, and has basically stayed loyal to Hakusensha's shoujo lineup ever since—Hana to Yume, The Hana to Yume, Hana to Yume Plus, Bessatsu Hana to Yume, you name it.
She's best known for Otomen, a rom-com that got a live-action adaptation in 2009, and Requiem of the Rose King, her dark Shakespearean fantasy that became an anime in 2022. Fans often praise both series for their distinctive blend of humor and emotional depth.
