Synopsis

The Abyss is a massive pit stretching deep into the earth, filled with bizarre creatures and ancient artifacts. Nobody knows how it got there or what's at the bottom, but plenty of adventurers called Divers have thrown themselves into it trying to find out. The most skilled and fearless of them, the White Whistles, are basically living legends. Riko's mother, Lyza, was one of those legendary White Whistles—and she's missing. Riko wants to follow in her footsteps and reach the deepest parts of the Abyss, but she's still just a beginner Red Whistle, so she's only allowed to explore the upper levels. That changes when she stumbles across Reg, a robot-boy with no memory of where he came from or what he is. Riko's convinced Reg's technology has to originate from somewhere deep in the Abyss, so the two of them make a deal: they'll descend together to find Reg's memories and reach the bottom of the pit. Neither of them realizes what they're actually getting themselves into.
