Thousands of years before humans even existed, Earth was home to an advanced alien civilization. These beings were careless with their power and ultimately destroyed themselves—but not before leaving behind indestructible tablets warning any future inhabitants to destroy all remnants of their dangerous technology. Fast forward to the present day. ARCAM Corporation and its military arm, the Spriggans, have made it their mission to lock away these alien relics and keep them out of the wrong hands. When ARCAM discovers what might be Noah's Ark hidden in the Ararat Mountains, they send Spriggan operative Yuu Ominae to secure the site. Things go south quickly. The US Machine Corps—a rogue Pentagon-backed faction led by the ruthless Colonel MacDougall—attacks the excavation. MacDougall wants ARCAM's top scientist and the artifact itself. Now Yuu and fellow Spriggan Jean Jacquemondo have to fight off the Machine Corps' best soldiers and stop MacDougall from getting his hands on the Ark before disaster strikes.
