Synopsis

Doppo Orochi catches the final round of his karate school's youth tournament and spots Baki Hanma, a teenage fighter who's been dominating everyone he faces. Impressed by the kid's raw talent, Doppo decides to check him out further. He and one of his own students, Kiyosumi Katou, head down to the Tokugawa underground arena—basically an illegal fighting pit where anything goes as long as you don't bring weapons. When they get there, they find out Baki's about to fight Koushou Shinogi, a legendary karate master known for his deadly Cord-Cutting technique.
