Synopsis

Yuuta Okkotsu is a timid 16-year-old who's constantly targeted by bullies—and cursed. Literally. A powerful curse called Rika has attached itself to him, a remnant of his tragic past that violently punishes anyone who wrongs him. The problem is, Rika's unpredictable and dangerous, putting everyone around Yuuta at risk. Satoru Gojou, a sorcerer and teacher at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School, spots Yuuta's potential and recruits him. With training, Gojou believes Yuuta can learn to control Rika and put all that destructive power to good use. Yuuta joins the first-year class alongside Toge Inumaki (a quiet weapons expert), Maki Zenin, and Panda—none of whom are exactly thrilled to work with a kid whose curse might kill them all. As Yuuta fumbles through his first missions with the group, word of Rika's devastating power spreads, catching the attention of Suguru Getou. Getou's a charismatic curse user with a terrifying goal: he wants to steal Rika and use her strength to wipe out all non-sorcerers from existence. Now Yuuta has to stand with his classmates and actually fight back.
