Synopsis

Rin Toosaka and Luviagelita Edelfelt, both members of the Mage's Association, get assigned to hunt down seven Class Cards—magical artifacts that hold the essence of legendary Heroic Spirits from medieval times. They're given two sentient Kaleidosticks called Ruby and Sapphire to help them out, which grant the ability to transform into magical girls and amp up their powers significantly. Problem is, Rin and Luvia can't stand each other, so Ruby and Sapphire decide to ditch them and find better masters instead. They end up recruiting two ordinary schoolgirls—Illyasviel von Einzbern and Miyu—who agree to make a contract with the Kaleidosticks. Now equipped with magical girl powers and a new mission, Illya and Miyu take on the job of collecting all the Class Cards.
