Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai
Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibouken (TV)
After the demon lord Hadlar was defeated, all the monsters he'd controlled were freed and relocated to the island of Delmurin, where they could finally live peacefully. Dai is the only human there—raised by the kind monster Brass, he's always dreamed of becoming a hero. That opportunity comes sooner than expected when Hadlar suddenly resurrects himself. The legendary hero Avan arrives to train Dai for the coming battle, but Hadlar reveals he's now serving an even more powerful demon lord and kills Avan before the training is complete. In a desperate last stand, Avan sacrifices himself to try to stop Hadlar, but it's not enough. Just when things look hopeless for Dai and Avan's other student Pop, a mysterious mark appears on Dai's forehead, granting him incredible power that lets him drive Hadlar away. With their teacher dead and the world in danger, Dai and Pop set out together to avenge Avan and restore peace to the land.
