Synopsis

A new Holy Grail War is breaking out in Snowfield, an American city where magi—powerful magic users—can become Masters by summoning Servants, heroic spirits from history. Winning the war supposedly grants any wish. The problem? Whoever set this up basically just created a knockoff version of the Third Holy Grail War. When the Mage's Association in London catches wind of the ritual, they send Flatt Escardos, a young apprentice to Lord El-Melloi II (a veteran of the Fourth Holy Grail War), to investigate. Flatt's teacher is less than thrilled when his student decides to enter the conflict as a Master himself. What makes this fake war especially dangerous is that the normal rules are broken—the boundary between Masters and Servants has gotten blurry. As different factions clash, keeping Snowfield from descending into complete chaos becomes nearly impossible.
