A childhood friend of Shinpachi's who dealt with constant bullying back in the day. He eventually fell in with a local gang—mostly to show people he'd toughened up and wasn't the pushover he used to be. When Shinpachi caught him stealing, instead of turning him in, he took him under his wing. These days, Taka-chin's a full-fledged member of Otsuu-chan's fanclub.
