Zenberu is the chieftain of the Dragon Tusk Tribe, a humanoid crocodile standing over 2.3 meters tall—tall enough to match Cocytus in height. His body is covered in battle scars, and he has a distinctive asymmetrical build: his right arm is noticeably thicker and more muscular than his left, almost like a fiddler crab. He's missing the ring and pinky fingers on his left hand. A two-headed snake is burned into his chest as a traveler's mark.
In conversation, Zenberu is blunt and straightforward—he doesn't care much for diplomacy or social niceties. His teeth click together when he talks, making it hard to tell if he's being casual or threatening. He'd rather settle disputes through strength and dueling than flowery negotiations. In actual combat, though, he's the opposite: calm and patient, waiting for the right moment to strike. People call him a battle maniac, but he's honorable enough to keep his word to both friends and enemies.
Leadership of the Dragon Tusk Tribe goes to whoever proves strongest in a test of strength, and Zenberu has held that position by being the tribe's most powerful member. What makes him unusual is his past—he used to be a traveler, much like Zaryusu, before becoming a tribal leader.
Before the Wetlands conflict, Zenberu lost a fight against the Sharp Edge Tribe's chief, which hit hard enough that he decided to leave and travel. He wanted to grow stronger and see more of the world. In the mountains, he befriended a dwarf who eventually gave him a steel halberd as a parting gift. When Zenberu returned to the Wetlands, his newfound power and experience allowed him to not only rejoin his tribe but climb all the way to chieftain.
