Topaz is a light brown and black Yorkshire Terrier with a distinctly ladylike personality. She's got that classic Yorkie look—tan-colored head and fur contrasting with a black body, ears, and tail—and usually rocks a purple octagon pendant necklace, a purple or pink hair bow, and sometimes carries a fan around.
Her character is pretty consistent across the series, though she comes across as more serious and reserved in Kira Deco! compared to the original run. She's generally poised and elegant either way.
Topaz shows up in major roles throughout the franchise. In the first Jewelpet series, she's one of the Jewel Eight until Dian manipulates her inverted power to mess with Kuranosuke's confidence. Rinko's group manages to get her back through the Jewel Games. In Twinkel, she partners with Hilde, who's actually favored to win the whole Jewel Star Grand Prix.
Her best-known role is probably in Kira Deco!, where she's a somewhat reclusive and skeptical clothing designer who runs her own shop. She's talented at what she does, though—talented enough that Pink wants her making clothes. In exchange, she sends Ruby on a task to grab some of Flora's wool.
She makes background appearances in most of the other seasons.
