Purple Thorn is one of the Pure Color Six Kings in Accel World and runs the Auroral Oval Legion. She's best known for her intense hatred of Black Lotus, who killed Red Rider—someone she and Red Rider were romantically involved.
Along with the other Pure Color Kings, Thorn reached level nine and helped establish a territorial treaty designed to prevent the kings from fighting each other over level ten advancement. The agreement was meant to keep the peace among the highest ranks. That truce fractured when Black Lotus killed Red Rider during a meeting where Thorn was present, leaving her with a personal vendetta that defines much of her story going forward.
