Mint comes from serious money—her family lives in a mansion, though her parents are almost never around, leaving her grandmother to raise her. She was living that pampered life until she got infused with Blue Lorikeet DNA and became a Mew Mew. The transition threw her off at first, but Ichigo helped her get up to speed, and she eventually embraced the role and understood what she needed to do.
Her anime debut in episode 2 plays out differently than in the manga. Rather than meeting the group through Ryou's heads-up, Ichigo literally follows her home after she lends Ichigo a handkerchief (her dog Mickey had just licked Ichigo's face). Her Mew Mark doesn't get revealed until her dress tears during a fight, making her transformation pretty dramatic in hindsight.
Personality-wise, Mint's a mixed bag. She can be mean, lazy, and snobbish—seriously sarcastic too. The main exception is Zakuro, whom she admires almost obsessively. Mickey, her dog, is basically her world. She's perpetually drinking tea at the cafe instead of actually working, though she'll insist it's her "daily ritual." That said, underneath the snobby exterior, she genuinely cares about her friends and feels things deeply—her emotions are easy to hurt.
She has an older brother, Seiji, who showed up in episode 9 (anime-only). He's more serious and constantly buried in business stuff, which makes him largely absent from her life. When she performed ballet, she wanted him there, but he was swamped with work. The Mews even tried convincing him to show up. He eventually did make it, though Mint told him to leave and get back to work—which annoyed him. When a Chimera Anima attacked during his departure, Mint defended him fiercely, angry that the monster hurt him. After she and Ichigo beat it, Seiji brought her flowers to show he still cares.
Transformation: Mew Mew Mint, Metamorphosis!
Attack: Ribbon Mint Echo!
In the English dub (Mew Mew Power), she's called Corina Bucksworth; the Italian version names her Mina Aizawa. She's the second Mew to join the team overall.
