Tokyo Mew Mew
Thirteen-year-old Ichigo Momomiya is at an endangered animal exhibit with her crush Masaya when a mysterious beam of light hits her, and a cat somehow enters her body. The next day, she starts acting weirdly cat-like. When a giant monster suddenly attacks Masaya, Ichigo transforms into a pink magical girl complete with cat ears and a tail. A boy named Ryou Shirogane fills her in: the monster was a Chimera Anima, an alien parasite that infects animals and turns them into giant creatures. He and Keiichiro Akasaka—who runs a pink cafe called Mew Mew—had cooked up the "Mew Project" to combine DNA from five endangered animals into biological weapons they could use against the aliens. But an earthquake the day before ruined everything, accidentally blasting that DNA into Ichigo and four other girls she ran into outside the museum instead. So now Ichigo's stuck as a biological weapon herself, forced to fight off these aliens while hunting down her fellow transformed girls—and she has to keep the whole cat thing hidden from Masaya.
