Exeggutor
Exeggutor is a tall, bipedal Pokémon shaped like a coconut or palm tree. Its body and thick legs are light brown with thin black rings, topped with two-toed feet that have light yellow paw pads underneath. Three round, coconut-like heads sit on top, each with its own distinct facial expression, and thin green leaves sprout from the crown.
The three heads operate independently and don't seem particularly interested in each other, which means Exeggutor is pretty loud—each head voices its own opinion. Despite the constant chatter, they get along fine and rarely argue. If all three heads want to go in different directions at once, the whole body just freezes up. They can also communicate telepathically to reach a consensus when needed. In battle, Exeggutor uses psychic attacks from all three heads simultaneously, effectively tripling its power. When one of its heads grows too large, it detaches and combines with others to form an Exeggcute.
Though rarely found in the wild since it's an evolution-stone evolution, Exeggutor inhabits forests and jungles. It's earned nicknames like "The Walking Tropical Rainforest" and "The Walking Jungle." On cloudy days, it becomes sluggish without sufficient sunlight. It's not a solitary Pokémon either—they've been spotted traveling in groups.
Alolan Form
In the Alola region, Exeggutor grows over five times taller than its Kantonian counterpart, making it the tallest and heaviest Grass-type Pokémon. The abundance of sunlight there creates the perfect environment for this form. Its neck is drastically longer and thinner, actually resembling a proper coconut tree rather than a desert palm. It sprouts a fourth light green head on the tip of its tail, which can act independently and defend from behind, while the tail itself uses weak telepathy to sense its surroundings.
Its extended neck works as a whip in combat, with the hard head delivering impact, though swinging it around can make the Pokémon dizzy—the neck is something of a weak point. The extra height has shifted its strengths away from psychic defense toward draconic powers, weakening its psychic abilities overall.
Alolan Exeggutor holds special cultural significance in Alola. Ancient carvings depict it, and locals consider it the region's pride, insisting this is what Exeggutor was always meant to look like. You can find them on Exeggutor Island, a former trial site shaped like the Pokémon itself and teeming with wild Exeggutor. They also inhabit the Coastal Biome section of Blueberry Academy's Terarium.
