Takumu is Chiyuri's boyfriend and one of the more well-rounded students you'll find—he's genuinely good at both academics and athletics, which probably helps explain why he attends one of those fancy schools that covers everything from elementary through high school. Around his friends, he comes across as genuinely nice and considerate, so it's not surprising that Haru basically looked up to him as a mentor and role model when they started battling together in Accel World.
When it comes to Brain Burst itself, he's surprisingly knowledgeable. In fights, he's the type to step back and figure out the smartest strategy rather than just rush in. That thoughtfulness carried over after he joined Nega Nebulus—he calls Kuroyukihime "master" out of respect, and he's often trying to smooth things over whenever tensions flare up between her and Yuniko.
