Illyasviel von Einzbern is just your typical magical girl anime fan living an otherwise normal school life—until one night, a magical wand named Ruby literally crashes through her bathroom window. Ruby declares her its new master before she can even protest, granting her magical powers and a transformation into Prisma Illya. The catch? Ruby's previous owner was Rin Toosaka, a top-tier mage from the Clock Tower in London, and she's definitely not happy about losing her wand. Now Illyasviel's stuck with the job Rin was supposed to do: collecting magical cards scattered around Fuyuki City that are packed with magical energy. Apparently the Clock Tower needs them collected to prevent some disaster. Of course, she has to keep this whole thing secret while juggling school and everything else that comes with being a teenager. So the question becomes whether Illyasviel can actually handle balancing normal life with her new magical girl duties—especially when the dream she always wanted is suddenly her reality.
