It's year 71 of the Cosmic Era, and the Earth Alliance and Zaft have finally called a truce after the brutal battle at Yakin Due. Things are still fragile—Cagalli and Athrun are literally meeting with Chairman Durandal to make sure the peace holds. But behind the scenes, Zaft terrorists are working with Neo Roanoke to blow the whole thing apart and restart the war. Their scheme has two parts: first, infiltrate Zaft territory and steal a bunch of Gundam Mobile Suits. Then use that to trigger some kind of massive catastrophe that'll push Earth into total chaos. The Minerva crew has to stop them before it's too late, and the stakes are huge—not just for humanity, but for Athrun and Cagalli's relationship too, which gets tested to the breaking point.
