Eiichi Kamagata is president of Lucent Pictures Entertainment, Inc. and co-founder of the animation studio Lucent 4°C. He spent a decade at what's now known as Aniplex Inc.—a Sony Pictures and Sony Music joint venture—where he worked as chief producer and production manager, essentially building up their animation division from the ground up and managing everything from TV series to OVAs to feature films.

As a producer, he's best known for the cult hit Tekkon Kinkreet and a string of hugely successful anime series: Gurren Lagann, Gintama, and D.Gray-man. He's also overseen both the business and creative sides of the Naruto and Bleach franchises, which speaks to his reach across some of anime's biggest properties.
